By using heightversus.com (the "site"), operated by Praveen Kumar, a UK sole trader, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

What the site provides

The site provides a free comparison board, free height calculators, and free guides, for general information and entertainment purposes. Nothing on the site constitutes medical, health, financial or legal advice. In particular, the growth percentile and child height predictor tools are statistical estimates based on published reference data, clearly labelled as such — they are not a diagnosis, a medical assessment, or a guarantee of any outcome. For any concern about a child's growth or your own health, consult a GP or paediatrician.

Accuracy

We take care to source every figure on the site to a cited reference (see Sources and each guide's own "Method and sources" section) and to keep calculators mathematically correct. Even so, the site is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind, and we don't guarantee that every figure is free of error or that any dataset is fully up to date. If you spot an error, please let us know.

Intellectual property

All illustrations, silhouettes, design, code and original written content on this site are either created for this site or properly licensed, and are protected by copyright. You may view, use and share the tools and a shared board link for personal, non-commercial purposes, and you may quote short excerpts of our written content with attribution and a link back. You may not copy, scrape, redistribute or reproduce our silhouettes, illustrations, datasets or substantial portions of our written content without permission.

Primary datasets referenced on this site (for example WHO, CDC/NCHS and NCD-RisC data) remain the property of their respective publishers; we use and cite them as permitted by their own terms.

Images you upload

If you upload an image to use on the comparison board, it is processed entirely in your browser and is never sent to our servers. You confirm that you own, or have the right to use, any image you upload, and that uploading and using it on your own device doesn't infringe anyone else's rights. We have no access to, and take no responsibility for, images you choose to upload.

Acceptable use

Please don't: attempt to disrupt or overload the site; scrape or automatically harvest content beyond what our robots.txt permits; use the site to harass, impersonate, or publish content about a real person without their consent via the board's name field; or attempt to bypass any security or rate-limiting measure.

Third-party links and ads

The site links to third-party sources (our citations) and, once launched, will show third-party advertising (Google AdSense) and may include affiliate links to products such as height-measuring equipment. We don't control, and aren't responsible for, the content, accuracy or practices of any linked third-party site. Affiliate links, where used, are disclosed in the relevant article.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HeightVersus and Praveen Kumar are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site, reliance on any figure or estimate it provides, or your use of a third-party site it links to. Nothing in these terms limits liability for things that can't lawfully be limited, such as death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

Changes

We may update these terms or the site's features at any time. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
